Bangalore-based realtor Ozone Group names Srinivasan Gopalan CEO

Ozone Group, a Bangalore-based real estate company which recently roped in PE firm Blackstone as an investor for a project, has appointed Srinivasan Gopalan as CEO, the company said on Monday.

Gopalan joined Ozone Group from The Wadhwa Group where he was COO and CFO. Prior to that, he was working with US-based ROW2Technologies as CEO. Gopalan has also worked with companies like Chembourse International Pvt Ltd and Gharda Chemicals Ltd.

He has two decades of experience in sales, marketing, finance, corporate planning, project evaluation and implementation.

“He has a proven ability to drive innovation and growth, ensure disciplined execution and deliver results. We believe that his passion for the industry will have a positive impact on Ozone’s employees and the stakeholders," said S Vasudevan, chairman and MD of Ozone Group.

"Under his able leadership the brand will concentrate on large scale developments and also invest in strategic smaller developments across CBDs of Chennai and Bangalore. His focus will be on improving operations, transparency, corporate governance in the brand and the industry,” the company said in the release.

Gopalan obtained a B Com degree from Mumbai University and has completed a CWA professional certification course.

Ozone Group, which currently has operations in Bangalore, Chennai and Goa, is a developer of houses, townships and IT parks. The privately held group employs over 300 people, and plans to focus on the residential sector, townships and commercial space in India.
