Mid-sized accountancy firm NA Shah Associates LLP said on Thursday it has consolidated its position by merging Mumbai-based MA Parikh & Co with itself.
NA Shah, which was set up in 1965 and is also based in Mumbai, offers services related to direct and indirect tax as well as audit and advisory services. It will now also provide services in audit and assurance, internal audit, taxation and consultancy.
MA Parikh’s partners will join NA Shah as partners. As a result of the merger, NA Shah’s employee base will increase to more than 230 with over 80 chartered accountants, it said in a statement.
Established in 1980, MA Parikh & Co was founded by late Manubhai A. Parikh along with present senior partners Ajit Shah and Rohit Adalja.
The statement said the merger will help the combined firm offer clients high-quality audit and taxation services.
Ashok Shah, partner at NA Shah Associates, said this merger strengthens the firm’s reputation as a provider of differentiated value in the audit, direct and indirect tax and business advisory space.
Ajit Shah, partner at MA Parikh & Co, said: “We are focused on strengthening our relationships in the industry and this decision ensures that our clients continue to receive the focused, bespoke and unparalleled level of service we pride ourselves on.”
