ASK Pravi appoints Navin Kshatriya as operating advisor

Mumbai-based private equity firm ASK Pravi Capital Advisors has appointed Navin Kshatriya as operating advisor to its private equity fund. In his new position, Kshatriya will help evaluate investments in consumer products & services businesses. He will also work as a strategic advisor to portfolio companies on all aspects of business.

Kshatriya has more than 40 years of experience in business leadership, marketing and customer management, and has lead both turnaround and growth businesses in countries like India, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and the UK. 

Most recently, he has retired as head of BP Castrol’s automotive lubricants business in the APAC region. Kshatriya had also worked with companies like Castrol India Ltd (CEO & MD), Uniliver Arabia (manager – general operations), National Mineral Water Company (CEO) and Hindustan Lever (branch manager). He is also the chairman of First Energy Pvt Ltd and director of Ambit Holdings Pvt Ltd.

Kshatriya obtained his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT-Kharagpur.

“Naveen Kshatriya’s addition strengthens ASK Pravi’s existing team of operating advisors and functional experts in providing operating value add to its portfolio companies,” said Jayanta Banerjee, managing partner of ASK Pravi.

Last year, the company appointed ICICI Venture’s Ajitabh Banerji as a vice-president.

Founded early this year, ASK Pravi Capital Advisors seeks to provide growth capital to small and mid-sized companies which are operating in India. The firm is currently raising its first fund of Rs 900 crore and focuses on companies operating across leisure, healthcare, wellness and food and beverages sectors. It typically aims to invest between $10 million and $15 million in its portfolio companies.
