Alpen Capital Launches India Operation

Alpen Capital, a leading investment bank providing services to institutional and corporate clients in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Asia, has launched its India operations with offices in Mumbai and New Delhi. 

The firm has named its Indian entity as Alpen Capital India Pvt Ltd and has been registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), said a company statement. Alpen Capital India currently has merchant banking license, which will help it offer management and investment advisory services in M&A, debt and equity.

The firm is currently in operation in the Middle East with offices in Dubai, Doha and Muscat. With Alpen Capital India, the firm plans to leverage on cross market transaction opportunities between Middle East and India.

Rohit Walia, executive vice chairman & CEO, Alpen Capital Group, said, in the statement, “There are many exciting business opportunities that exist between India and the Middle East and we hope to use our expertise to provide value added services to our clientele.” 

Alpen Capital also operates a financial advisory and consultancy services firm in India called Sarasin Alpen India Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Swiss private bank, Bank Sarasin. Sarasin Alpen India provides consultancy services to private clients in India and distributes select third-party products, the statement added.
